Nickelback.

So, last night saw us going on a night out... I know it was Monday night and we may be getting too old for that, but it was fun none the less.  Still, getting up this morning was pretty difficult.  We went and saw Nickelback.  I thought it was a good, typical, rock concert.  Tiffany liked it a little more than me because she used to run while listening to their music, so she knows more of the words and songs than I do.

Opening for them was Breaking Benjamin.  They were decent too.  Kinda like little kid rock stars.  Not because they are actually kids though, but because they are a smaller band that is trying and testing the waters out with this whole rock concert in a big venue thing.

It surprised me the range of people that were at this thing.  If you've listened to their music you probably have noticed that it isn't exactly 'kid friendly'.  You know, sex, drugs and rock and roll.  That's what it is.  Two rows in front of us are 3 girls (and parents)  The girls are probably 11, 9 and 7.  They didn't last.  They were there for Breaking Benjamin and then after about 3 words came out of Chad Kruger's mouth, they were gone, never to be seen again.  It might have also had to do with the wafting billows of smoke that were EVERYWHERE as soon as the headliner took the stage.  Is that smoke from the pyrotechnics you ask?  Some of it was I'm sure, but we were sitting at the far end of the saddledome and there were no fireworks or shooting flames at our end.  And yet, the smoke seemed to be a little thicker where we were sitting.

At any rate....good concert.  Not for the easily offended.  Loud, familiar songs, good times.
